My first drone was a 3DR SOLO, followed by a Mavic Pro Platinum, then an Air 2S which was lighter again. However, in 2023, I bought a DJI Mini Pro 3 because it weighed under 280 grams, it was easy to carry and I could fly it overseas without a permit.
2024 Vietnam Trạm Tấu Zoni Homestay Yên Bái District
In April 2024, my friend Linh and I spent five days riding through the north-west of Vietnam. Stopping along the way, taking photos and shooting video with a drone. This is taken at Zoni homestay, Cham Ta Lao, where we stopped in Trạm Tấu which is in the Yên Bái District in a valley in some of the most beautiful scenery in Vietnam.
2024 Vietnam The Pa Uon Bridge Quynh Nhai District
The Pa Uon Bridge is about 70 kilometres from Sơn La upstream of the Black River. The structure consists one single beam, two abutments, and eleven pillars made of prestressed reinforced concrete. On the entire bridge, there are 11 pillars, two of which are nearly 100 meters high, a record within Vietnam. As there frequent and large earthquakes in the region, the bridge is constructed to withstand an earthquake of up to 9.0 on the Richter magnitude scale.
Previous to the bridge's construction, reaching Quynh Nhai District and the nearby Thai villages required riding the Uon Pa ferry. In 2005, the building of the Sơn La Dam would initiate the re-location of nine of the Quynh Nhai District's thirteen communes.
